Bio
Allison Leroux is a multi-instrumentalist, dance caller, and cultural facilitator based in Ontario. Her goals include community participation, intergenerational learning, the conservation of culture and heritage via performance, teaching, and volunteer leadership (and one day playing the Grand Ole Opry).
She has been active as a fiddle player since 2019 drawing inspiration from her grandfather, who played traditional French-Canadian tunes on harmonica, among other musical family members.
Allison continues to develop a presence across Ontario and beyond: through freelance solo- and band performances with various artists, competing regularly at fiddle and stepdance contests, calling and playing for community dances, facilitating jam sessions and collaborations.
Leroux maintains an active online presence focused on sharing the joy of music and encouraging participation.
