Bio

Allison Leroux is an Ontario-based fiddle player, dance caller, teacher, and cultural facilitator. Whether performing on festival and rodeo stages, in the classroom/dance hall, or joining a late-night jam session, she is passionate about creating spaces where people can connect through music - “have fiddle, will travel!'“.

Allison has become an active presence in Canada’s traditional and country music communities. She performs regularly with a variety of artists and bands, and is known for her adaptability on stage, having been awarded a Lieutenant Governor’s award for heritage conservation and most recently nominated for a MARTY award.

She draws inspiration from her grandfather, who played traditional French-Canadian tunes on harmonica, among other musical family members, and is excited to grow as a touring country fiddle player.

Allison is a member of the Canadian Federation of Musicians (CFM/AFM). She has supported artists such as Kelsi Mayne, Ty Wilson, Rob Watts and Bobby Dove on nearly every major Ontairo festival stage, inlcuding Boots & Hearts, North of Nowhere, Toronto Folk Festival, Southside Shuffle Blues & Jazz, Crooks Rapids, Tweed Stampede and more. Highlights include opening for the Chicks, Gowan, Ben Chase, and Dallas Smith, sharing the stage with Sophie B. Hawkins and Paula Cole in Calgary 2025, regularly playing with Chuck Jackson of the Downchild Blues Band, Suzie McNeil of Aerosmith and Tom Barlow in her hometown of Port Credit, and playing Toronto venues such as the Horseshoe Tavern.

Solo appearances include the Port Credit Canada Day Parade in July 2024, the Guelph Guild of Storytellers 2024-26 providing prelude music for storytellers such as Robert Munsch, and many more community/fundraiser events.
